Kauʻi Kanahele lives in Oklahoma City predominantly creating murals. Her artwork incorporates themes of heritage and identity. Kanahele graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma where she received her BFA. She has taught at Oklahoma City Girls’ Art School. Previously she served as a mentor at Oklahoma Contemporary. She currently works at Oklahoma Contemporary as the Senior Coordinator of Teen and Youth Programs.
